From Buzzards, to Dippers bobbing in out of the water of the River Garry, Tree Creepers, Tawny Owls (can often be heard during January calling to make sure everyone knows where their territory is), Jays, to one of the many summer visitors Pied Flycatchers. There are a whole host birds that can be seen on walks in the Killiecrankie area.
The Rookery at the bottom of Squirrel Cottage garden is very active from about March through to 1st week of June each year. The too-ing and fro-ings, the arguments and bickering amongst the rooks is fascinating to watch.
Ospreys – Slightly further a field at Butterstone near Dunkeld you will be able to visit the RSPB bird hide where you can see Osprey during the summer months.
