Places to Visit and things to dothings to see & do in Highland PerthshireSquirrel Cottage is located 3 miles from Blair Atholl where you can visit Blair Castle the ancient home of the Dukes and Earls of Atholl and the Atholl Highlanders, the Duke's Private Army. Three short miles south will take you to Pitlochry with its two distilleries, dam and fish ladder, its theatre in the hills, shops a great selection of restaurants. It is a beautiful town in its own right, highly photographed by the visitors to the area. The flowers are spectacular in the summer months with a small dedicated team who make up Pitlochry in Bloom winning many accolades over the past few years.
